Applying to Nehru Public School
Registration Process
LKG
Registration for class LKG is scheduled in December and January. Age Group 3+ years
on 31st march of the corresponding year are eligible to apply.
CLASS XI
Registration for class XI is done after the class X board results is declared. While
academic excellence is the most important criteria for acceptance in class XI at
Nehru Public School, from the beginning of the admission process through enrollment,
our admission candidates, their families, and our staff work toward the same goal:
helping each other to imagine “the fit” between the student and the school. How
well any student will do at Nehru Public School largely depends on how readily the
student adapts to the new teaching styles encountered here, new homework patterns,
and new standards. In assessing how well an admission candidate will fit into the
school's program, our admission staff reviews each student's complete application.
Each student's prospects for success are evaluated thoroughly by at least three
experienced staff members working independently of the other. This reliable and
responsive process has over the years enabled us to know a great deal about our
students before they enroll, which facilitates our planning for their future integration
into the school community.
All other classes
Admission will depend upon the availability of seats and competence of the students
in the admission test. A transfer certificate from the previous school attended
must be attached.

School Visit
A visit to Nehru Public School is best understood as a chance for visitors and their
families to see the school in action and to introduce themselves. Visits are therefore
only scheduled while classes are in session. A typical visit consists of a talk
with a member of the admission staff, a tour of the campus with a guide, and a family
conference at which the staff member answers questions about the school, to convey
a sense of how Nehru Public School will fit into a school search.
Before you visit the school, making a wish list of your educational, extracurricular
and athletic needs and hopes is always a good idea so that you can make the most
of your time at the school.
Visitors should read the catalogue carefully before they come in order to have the
best possible sense of the school's goals, programs, and facilities.
If possible, appointments should be made in advance, either by telephone, by writing/calling
the school. The Admissions Office schedules visits between 9:00 a.m. and 10:25 a.m.
on all weekdays.
